Day 5: July 14, 2007 The last day of RWA. It’s been exhilarating and tiring and quite amazing. I attended the Brown Literary Agency lunch — great food and even better company! — then a workshop given by Angela Knight and her husband. Tonight’s the RITA and Golden Heart Awards ceremony, then that’s it for this year. 
Day 4: July 13, 2007 I was better today about taking pictures. That probably had something to do with waking up at O-dark-hundred. I managed to catch the dawn. Much later, I took part in the Berkley signing, which was even more amazing than the literacy signing. I actually ran out of books well before the allotted time!
Day 3: July 12, 2007 It was a busy day at the RWA conference. I barely got to take any pictures.
Day 2: July 11, 2007 The official start to the RWA conference! I finally got to meet my fellow Aphrodisiacs (below from left to right: Amie Stuart, Susan Lyons, Kate Douglas, Sharon Page and Rachelle Chase) and several favorite authors. The Literacy Signing was an eye-opener. It was so encouraging to have readers come up to me and say that they enjoyed Entangled and Enticed.
Day 1: July 10, 2007 Okay, it’s actually not the first day of the conference, but fun was had! I joined the North Texas RWA excursion to the Bill Bates ranch. There were thunderstorms at the start, but we had a singing cowboy to entertain us while the rain poured. Eventually the weather changed, so we got to feed some longhorns and other animals, take a hayride, and generally enjoy ourselves. |
